Painting from Durrës to Istanbul
One of the nicest activities was the painting children and grown-ups along the road made together. We had a long roll of painters canvas and everybody could paint a small painting. This was a lot of fun for everybody and the result is a beautifull long painting that connects the people along the Via Egnatia.
The painting maesures 10 meters now. In 2010 year the next rolls of canvas will be done when the caravan will reach Istanbul!
The participating artists Franz an Lia even gave lessons in painting on the primary school in Dardhe (Albania)
Teenagers also tried there skills on the canvas.
The children printed there litlle hands and feet on the borders of the canvas. Of course the hands and feet had to be washed afterwards
